The South West Australia Branch is the next stage in the evolution of Surfrider Foundation's presence in Western Australia. Originally founded in Margaret River over a decade ago, the new branch now encompasses most of the southwest region of W.A. from Busselton to Augusta.
Currently, the branch is focused on the Preserve Gnarabup campaign—a fight against overdevelopment in the pristine limestone coastal environment at Gnarabup (located 10 minutes from Margaret River township).
Surfrider Foundation Limited is a registered not for profit sea-roots organisation dedicated to the protection of Australia’s ocean, beaches and waves through conservation, activism, research and education.
We acknowledge that Surfrider Australia operates on First Nations Land. We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their elders past, present and emerging and the continuing connection they have to land, sea, sky and culture.
