Surfrider Foundation Australia’s series of interactive and informative marine conservation programs are designed to connect your team with sea country while contributing to a positive impact on the health of our oceans. Our experienced facilitators deliver a unique insight into the threats facing our oceans and showcase innovative conservation solutions being deployed on our coastlines.

Where: Manly Beach, Sydney. A short 20-minute ferry ride from the Sydney CBD
Program 1: Marine Pollution Awareness
This 3-hour interactive session focuses on marine pollution and the impact of ocean plastic on the marine environment. It includes a short documentary, 1-hour beach clean, microplastic sampling, hands-on analysis of marine debris and an introduction to citizen science. The session concludes with a brand audit and discussion on how to reduce your organisation’s plastic footprint.
Program 2: Marine Conservation: Below The Surface
This 3-hour Marine Conservation program provides a broad overview of the threats and disruptions facing our oceans and introduces attendees to innovative solutions that are improving marine habitats and enabling biodiversity to flourish. Program 2 includes a beautiful coastal walk and beach clean to help divert marine debris from polluting our waterways. This session covers conservation initiatives such as marine sanctuary protection, shark mitigation strategies, seascape restoration and marine pollution reduction.
