Byron Bay has a special place in the heart of Surfrider as the home of our first-ever member and legendary surfer, Rusty Miller. With Don Osbourne at the helm for some 20 years, the Byron Bay branch has been closely involved in stopping inappropriate development in the region.
We recently renamed as the Northern Rivers branch and are working toward the ongoing protection of the unique coastal environment and culture found in the region.
