Destined to become one of the great walks of the world, the Cape to Cape Track meanders over 125kms from Cape Naturaliste to Cape Leeuwin through what is the state’s most visited National Park, the Leeuwin Naturaliste. The Cape to Cape Explorer Walk covers a 5km stretch of the Track, passing spectacular viewpoints and deserted beaches near the picturesque Injidup Point.Your local guides will interpret the unique geological features found in the region, as well as share knowledge of the region’s biodiversity, including fascinating marsupial fauna found nowhere else in the world and a fantastic array of the unique flora of the South West coastline. The area is one of 34 biodiversity hotspots in the world and the only internationally recognised biodiversity hotspot in Australia. And the biodiversity is not restricted to the land; the proposed Nari Capes Marine Park is located directly west of the Capes Track. Your guides will outline the link between the unique Leeuwin Current which passes this area (reputed to be the longest ocean current in the world) and all life found in the region.

Afternoon tea will be served and the walk will take roughly two and a half hours.

Participants will need to bring sturdy footwear (there are rocky scrambles along the way), water, appropriate clothing and adequate sun protection. In the event of adverse weather, an alternative route and interpretive experience will be provided.
